Yesterday, I watched William Ruto ask Uhuru Kenyatta to stop sabotaging his government.

I sat with that for a minute.

He has the presidency. The police. The budget. The whole machinery of government.

And his explanation for why things are this bad is a man who left office?

Can he tell us;

What job does Uhuru hold in your government?

Is he the one sending police after young people?

Was he in command when protesters were shot in 2024?

Is he the one making life more expensive every month?

A president who has delivered doesn’t need a ghost to fight. He puts the record on the table and defends it.

The fact that his explanations are always pointing backward, means there's a problem with what is happening in the present.
