Here are the numbers of lawful permanent residents entering the US legally:
• Fiscal Year 2022: 1,018,349 new LPRs (a significant rebound from pandemic lows).
• Fiscal Year 2023: 1,172,910 new LPRs.
• Fiscal Year 2024: Approximately 1.36 million (1,360,000) green cards issued, a 15.6% increase from FY 2023.
• Fiscal Year 2025: Data is incomplete as of late May 2026 (FY 2025 ends September 30, 2025). Through the first quarter (Oct–Dec 2024), about 350,100 green cards were issued.

Yes. In 2023 the people in the us earned $23 trillion in personal income. A flat tax with no exceptions of 10% would net $2.3 Trillion in collected taxes. The US collected $2.2 Trillion using the current complex system taxing only part of the people with its thousands of pages of code, exemptions and CPA costs. Simplify with a flat tax of 10% with no exemptions.
