Doug Ford gets an F.
The legislature sat for 29 days this year.
Doug Ford used that time to buy a jet, try to take over Billy Bishop, and restrict FOI requests to hide his records.
He didn't fix a single thing for people struggling with rent, groceries, or gas.
The Ontario NDP will keep fighting for solutions to make life more affordable.
Lets put things into context:
-Closing OSC = 219 people out of work.
-Breaking The Beer Store contract = 3,000 jobs lost, $612 million contract penalty, $1.4B lost tax revenue
-Failed Green Space development losses $8.3 billion
-Ontario Place costs - $2.2 billion over budget.
Doug Ford is having a bad time.
His luxury jet purchase blew up in his face. His scandals keep piling up.
So he shut down the legislature for 102 days.
While Ontarians struggle with grocery prices – the Premier is hiding.
Community consultations are absolutely critical, but the choice facing the Prime Minister is clear. Premier Ford is in the middle of a land grab, and the federal government has both the power and the responsibility to stop this irresponsible and anti-democratic move.
The fact that Doug Ford seized the land from the City of Toronto in order to ram through a project owned and operated by American banking giant JP Morgan tells you all you need to know about who will benefit from his plan.
Prime Minister Carney ran on a promise to protect Canadians from Donald Trump and stand up for Canadian sovereignty. He cannot sit on the fence while Doug Ford hands more power to Wall Street.
Like Ontario Place, the Science Centre, and so much more, Doug Ford is acting as though Toronto is a playground for him and his CEO friends. It isn't. Toronto belongs to the people, and the people don't need or want the jets, noise, traffic, and pollution that this massive expansion would bring.

NEW: the Ford govt has moved to cancel all summer meetings of the committee that vets PC appointments to provincial boards & agencies.
The move came after opposition MPPs questioned two nominees who had donated a combined $13K to the PCs.
Full story w/ @steve_cornwell to come.
She's right, it is outrageous. Given their pay cheques come out of our pocket. Wouldn't we all love to make over $200K a year to not show up to work @fordnation
Millions of Ontarians are struggling to afford a roof and food every day and Doug Ford is giving himself 147 days off from Queen's Park.
Instead of addressing the real challenges Ontario is facing, the Premier spent this 29 day session enriching wealthy insiders, punching down on the most vulnerable and trying to buy himself a private jet.
You deserve a government that works for you.
New tariffs from Trump, same elbows up message from Manitoba. 🇨🇦
Tariffs make life more expensive.
We’re standing up for Manitobans, which makes life more affordable for us and Americans too.
Doug Ford has no respect for the people of Ontario. He talks a big game about fighting Donald Trump in front of the cameras, then turns around and hands hundreds of millions of our taxpayer dollars to American companies behind closed doors.
The Premier thinks the people of our province are his personal cash cows. $30 million for his personal luxury private jet. $5 billion for an airport expansion that benefits Wall Street. Then he cries poor when it's time to fund OSAP, healthcare, or make your life more affordable.
This isn't Doug Ford's money. It's OUR money. Ontarians have every right to know why it's going to these companies, and how much they're getting.
From his phone records to taxpayer funds, it's time for Doug Ford to come clean with the people of Ontario.
