@louorns Which is what makes this Mills to PNE story interesting. Their fans seem to think it’s happening but I can’t see how we’d sell him unless it’s mad money which they won’t pay. So we’ll find out soon enough
@louorns In normal circumstances yeah absolutely. But if we sell anyone without a clause then it could trigger a fire sale as other players will want same treatment. So my read on it is that our player valuations will be absurd and have no real relation to market value
I’m writing a weekly column this season at https://t.co/e5GbGUeGsA! First up an impassioned defence of the EFL Cup and why it should always get its own weekend to start the season
@sam__joseph As part of our Countdown to Kick-Off, we’re introducing some of the new features that will become regular fixtures on Substack this season.
Today we've got @GeorgeElek starting his new weekly column.

The EFL season kicks-off next Friday and we’re hosting a launch party at The Volley South for Wolves v Blackburn with a live Q&A before. Come and join us, and have a pop at our 1-24s while you’re there

@louorns Want to hate the caretaker promotion, but can’t ignore the good underlying numbers, genuine improvement under him and the decent squad + recruitment? Yeah, I’m with you.
@MarkKleinmanSky If you've got his ear any chance you could ask him what's going on at #oufc@MarkKleinmanSky - it would be an important story given his decision not to provide proof of funding and might help us understand what is going on given a vital new stadium needs building soon
@dikko17 Well the one from the Bolton v Stockport game clearly wasn’t excessive so it’s a step in the right direction. Impossible to have absolute clarity
100% this. Seems like one incident of a deliberate hair pull has set a ridiculous precedent. It likely didn’t matter but that incident today just can’t be a penalty and a red card
