We are deeply saddened by the death of The Hon Rose Paterson. As our friend & Chairman of @AintreeRaces she oversaw the introduction of the Grand Women’s Summit & went out of her way to support our work.
She is a huge loss to racing & our thoughts are with her family & friends.
George Floyd and I were both arrested for allegedly spending a counterfeit $20 bill. For George Floyd, a man my age, with two kids, it was a death sentence. For me, it is a story I sometimes tell at parties. That, my friends, is White privilege.
One of the sweetest and most heart warming things that I have seen on a racecourse for a while, Imran, who looks after and rides Enable in her work, waved his little Enable flag all the way across the Knavesmire back to the racecourse stables after today's race. Beautiful.
Take my word for it, you never regret it. I wouldn't put anyone wrong
Thank you very much for reading it.
