Billy Sosbe trusted Dexcom’s G7 to manage his Type 1 diabetes. In June, his sister found him dead.
He’s not the only one. A 6-year-old landed in the ER. A driver blacked out behind the wheel. Others have been hospitalized — some didn’t survive.
Dexcom called the G7 “the most accurate CGM.” Our investigation found accuracy failures, dangerous malfunctions, and thousands of complaints.

BREAKING: U.S. Air Force B-2 stealth bombers appear to have taken off from their base in Missouri. These are the exact aircraft needed to hit the heavily fortified Iranian Fordow Nuclear Site.
Eight tankers are in flight, headed the same direction, refueling the B-2 bombers over Kansas.
Incredibly proud of the team for this important investigation into a copper smelter in Tsumeb, Namibia — and the community that wants accountability before its owner, Dundee Precious Metals, finalizes a sale of the mine.
.@GeraldineBrooks says A FATAL INHERITANCE (out 5/14) by @IngrassiaLA is “heartbreaking and hopeful.” Losing family to cancer leads him to find out if it's just bad luck that runs in their blood. Preorder: https://t.co/mY2OJKXOru
Remember the 2015 oil spill in California? The biggest in decades. Wildlife covered in crude. Beaches polluted. Criminal convictions. Huge settlements.
UWM would love for this to be a story about us.
It's a story about them — about how they became the biggest mortgage lender in the country based on a lie.

Thoughts with family members of @WCKitchen aid workers killed in Gaza by an air strike, as they attempted to avert starvation.
President Biden, isn't it past time to focus on sending food to Gaza, not more bombs?
Suns owner Mat Ishbia went off on Cavs owner Dan Gilbert's rival business in a leaked voicemail:
"We f**king took those c**ksuckers down. F**k them, and we're gonna keep f**king sticking it to 'em forever. F**k those guys, we're number one."
MUCH more from a bombshell @hntrbrkmedia investigation that reveals how Ishbia obliterated Gilbert — and may have fleeced everyday Americans in the process: https://t.co/WcA0phoyDo
BREAKING: Today, after Hunterbrook Media published its months-long investigation into United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM), two of the videos Hunterbrook Media cited have disappeared from UWM’s social media channels.

Some breaking news on my end: three months ago, I joined Hunterbrook Media, a publication doing investigations in a new way, combining OSINT with on-the-ground reporting.
Massive thread below. (1/15)
Last year, UWM reported a net loss of $70 million amid an interest-rate-driven decline in the mortgage market. Nevertheless, the Ishbias received a dividend of more than $600 million.
UWM also paid the Ishbias an additional $21 million for such services as renting the family’s private jet for company travel and for renting the family’s land for the company’s headquarters in Pontiac, among other expenses.
The family received a similar amount of money from the company, including the $600 million dividend, in 2022. That year, UWM missed its $5.36 billion net revenue projection from its SPAC marketing by more than $2.9 billion.
Since UWM went public during the SPAC boom in 2021, its market cap has declined by more than $4 billion. During the same period, the Ishbias have taken home a total of at least $2 billion.
That money contributed to the down payment Ishbia made to become the majority owner of the Phoenix Suns.
He called it “the culmination of a lifelong dream.”
