A gentleman has raised concerns over the growing trend of parents surprising their children with cars, phones, and other expensive gifts after completing their WASSCE exams.
He questioned whether such surprises could not be done privately at home, arguing that the public displays may place unnecessary pressure on students and other parents. He further alleged that some parents even go to the extent of paying bloggers to publicize these gestures.

Morning Starter 🚨🎯: Former Ghana international Ahmed Barusso is remembered by many Ghanaians for a memorable moment during the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semifinal against Cameroon.🇨🇲 🇬🇭
Barusso came on as a late substitute for Andre Ayew as Ghana chased an equaliser after falling behind 1-0. During the match, he took a long-range free kick that sailed high over the crossbar, a moment that has since become a talking point among football fans, often recalled with humour. Ghana eventually lost the semifinal 1-0 before competing in the third-place playoff.
Despite the unfortunate miss, Barusso enjoyed a respectable professional career in Italy, featuring for clubs such as AS Roma, Rimini, and Manfredonia.
