Throughout life, our nervous system was brought into survival mode. The more it is in survival mode, the less we are able to allow ourselves simply to be. Just with ourselves. Without anything external distracting us. The less we are able to just be, the more we look for addictions. For something outside ourselves to fill that unbearable feeling, that empty space. It can be smoking. It can be scrolling. Eating. Emotional attachments. Alcohol. Drugs. Unhealthy, self-destructive and destructive-to-others behaviors.
That is why simply quitting our addictions is not a true solution. That is why, when we quit without addressing what created the addiction, we keep missing it, fighting cravings long after we quit. That is why we have to replace one addiction with another. And that is why we keep returning to it.
But there is another way. The true way out of any addiction. And that way is the return of our mind, body and nervous system to their natural state — to the state of being.

Men matter.
My God-given passion is to build Godly men up to bless their wives and children. We live in a world that is opposed to every single thing about that statement. I know it's not easy, men, but as long as there's breath in my lungs, I'll be in your corner.
