@vicarriola@David_J_Bier@USCISJoe How can you not wrap your head around this? They weren't doing the vetting!!! That was the whole point of the lawsuit!
@vicarriola@David_J_Bier@USCISJoe And the thousands I paid was all "my money" as well. I already paid for the service of vetting. What do you not understand? That is what the entire lawsuit was about. The gov took money to perform a service and then refused to perform it. There is no defending theft.
@Not_the_Bee Explain what you mean rather than just making wild-eyed, hyperbolic claims. Unless of course your goal is simply innuendo and manipulation.
@DisgracedProp I have my doubts as to your understanding of statistics. Humans brains are not wired to understand stats and in general are very prone to fallacious thinking when it comes to them, unless one has had substantial training, so as to recognize common errors.
@vicarriola@David_J_Bier@USCISJoe Also, judging by your odd English, and boilerplate bot responses, I've realized I'm likely arguing with someone from Russia or SE Asia posing as American. Not going to waste more of my time.
@vicarriola@David_J_Bier@USCISJoe If the government decided to not issue you a tax refund it owes you, would you be content with "they will when they are ready"? Would you seek to force them to pay what they owe you in court? Do you think government should not have to follow the law?
@vicarriola@David_J_Bier@USCISJoe So if you agree that the government should do their job, and vet applicants, why did you say the judge should be impeached for telling them to do so?
@vicarriola@David_J_Bier@USCISJoe So, do the vetting then. The lawsuit was surrounding the fact that the government was refusing to do the vetting. The court simply told them "do your job". It didn't tell them they have to approve applications. It simply said they can't take people's money and then do nothing.
@shaahin_a@ModeratesR Not to defend such reductive models, but does MMT not commit the same "sins"? Seems it is full of a priori behavioral assumptions. You just happen to like those ones.
@vicarriola@David_J_Bier@USCISJoe Not letting an American citizen live in, or even visit, their own country with their spouse sure seems like punishment. And you dodged the question, how does freezing LEGAL immigration stop illegal entry? If anything, stopping legal routes only makes illegal immigration worse.
@platform63755@tonyannett No one says that. They simply want you to save up and buy it, not steal it. And yes, you can do it. Lots of people do. Most capitalists were themselves the guy who worked with the hammer at one time.
