@CollingsMaccrae@YourFavWV Oooh yes this is one of the main reasons Falcontext was built! The main reason spellchecks get stuff wrong so often can be because of many reasons, but mostly it's because: they only check whether something is a real word, and if it is, they move on.
Context is key. As always.
38 prose checks. Zero AI.
Rules and word lists, run on your own computer. A whole novel in seconds, and nothing rewritten for you.
Your writing is never sent anywhere, and no AI is used on your writing in any way.
Find out why 👇🏻
@alexjoem33 You should always do what works for you! And even if the edit counter (it counts words removed, words revised and words added) isn’t for you, the prose analysis, character tracker and the fact that it works basically wherever you write could be useful 😉
I still need to really try out the editing tracker, but the writing tracker is pretty nice.
Worth checking out this new writing app by @realmattfalcon!
WRITERS!
Give me all the homophones/sound-alike words you keep actually getting wrong in your writing!
I’ve built a check for it and I want it to find as many things as possible. In context is best, but simply “hoard/horde” will do as well.
Thank youuuuu! 🙏
Also I just realised I used an old image here like an ass.
It’s not just google docs, it’s also atticus, Ellipsus, most web editors actually, and available on desktop working with pages, word, scrivener.
And there’s a Falcontext editor.
Use it wherever you write.
Live now on Firefox, the desktop app for Mac and Windows, and the web app. Chrome gets it as soon as Google finishes its review.

Falcontext 5.0 is out! 🎉 🥳
What an overhaul!
A Write tab for drafting, an Edit tab for revising, 38 prose checks (9 free), and Fix: one click and the slip is gone from your doc.
Your writing is never sent anywhere, and no AI is used on your writing in any way.

What's new:
• Slips caught as you type: doubled words, stray spaces, unfinished sentences
• Your chapters and scenes on one grid, ticked off pass by pass
• Words revised, removed and added today
• Counting that keeps going with the panel closed
