Coincidentally, the win percentage of Jordan and LeBron's #NBAFinals opponents are nearly identical.
Their win percentage *against* those Finals opponents is not.
Kobe got this mythology around him cause his game was visually similar to Jordan & cause he tragically passed away. Hes for sure the 2nd best SG ever but to act like Wade wasn’t going bar for bar with him during his prime is crazy. The league is lucky Wades knees were glass
It's not just the fact that LeBron has lost 6 finals - in every finals he's lost, he's lost 3 games straight.
Then add in being swept twice.
Then add in the 2014 loss was the biggest point differential ever in a Finals series.
Kobe is better all time than Wade but peak for peak its probably closer than a lot of people would realise.
Kobe's best reg season (2006?/2008)? vs Wade's best reg season (2009)?
Wade's best finals (2006) vs Kobe's best finals (2009)?
Wade deserves more respect.
Kobe fans acting like DWade is DeMar DeRozan or something. DWade looked Kobe in the eye many times and outplayed him. He won a finals MVP before him. He led the 2008 Olympic team in scoring while coming off the bench. Yall lucky he had glass knees
This pretty much happens in all sports, records from back in the day are set "naturally" and then surpassed by someone who intentionally seeks out the record.
Looking back on 2002 World Cup, did players/people just not care about records until Ronaldo/Messi? R9 had 8 goals in the tournament, Brazil had 2 penalties in the group, and he took none of them. His penalty record was 50/59 in his career as well.
