'Out Here' by Zero VU is out now on Besant Hall Records
From brothers Nick and Mitch Taylor, the EP moves between memory and imagination; somewhere familiar, but slightly out of focus.

Zero VU's ‘Out Here’ is released on Besant Hall Records
A live brass section conjures Salvation Army bands, village fêtes, and the faded grandeur of places belonging to another time. Set against contemporary, ethereal & distinctly off-kilter production.

A brass band somewhere in the distance. A seaside town at the end of the season; crowds gone, streets quiet, everything stranger and more beautiful for it.
Zero VU’s ‘Out Here’, released on 25th Sept on Besant Hall Records.

SHOW YOUR LOVE! Happy Heavenly Birthday to Parliament guitar icon Eddie Hazel born on this day in 1950. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 with fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic. His ten-minute guitar solo in Funkadelic's Maggot Brain is regarded as "one of the greatest solos of all time on any instrument". Rolling Stone ranked Hazel at #29 in its list of 250 of the greatest guitarists of all time.
NAME THAT FAVORITE TRACK! 39 Years Ago Today, @Prince released a jazz album that featured himself on all instruments along with Eric Leeds. The songs were named numerically One through Eight.
Prince wanted to preliminarily hide his involvement by throwing off the scent indicating that it was recorded at Madhouse Studios, in Pittsburgh, PA to lead people to believe it was Eric's old band. The truth was that it was recorded in 4 days (Sept. 28 through October 1, 1986) at Prince’s Galpin Blvd Home Studio, in Chanhassen, MN.
6 was the only single released off of the album. It doesn't hurt that the amazing Susan Rogers engineered the album followed by mastering by the incomparable Bernie Grundman. And we should definitely mention the beautiful Maneca Lightner that appeared on the cover that sent people scrambling to discover who she was.
Ok, I'll say it, my favorite track...7. Hands down.
'Girl Taken', with original music by Andrew Simon McAllister, is streaming today on Paramount+.
The six-part drama follows twins Lily and Abby after Lily escapes captivity and their family faces the lasting impact.
