Today is the 22nd anniversary of that one time the Dave Matthews Band dumped 800 pounds of poop on a boat full of people on the Chicago River. https://t.co/RRmmCtYkeU
Bill Maher absolutely unloads on Anthony Fauci after reading entries from his diary to the audience.
Maher couldnโt believe the level of โmain character syndromeโ coming from an 80-year-old Fauci writing about himself.
MAHER: โHave you read some of the shit in Fauciโs diary?โ
โLast week I played a game here called, โWho said it: Fauci or Trump?โโ
โLetโs play!โ
โIt is not hyperbole to say I am the most famous and talked about person in the country.โ
โThe nurses went absolutely wild to see me.โ
โI am such a valued spokesperson and a good communicator.โ
โOne person said that Tyra Banks was sexy, but I was even more sexy than she was.โ
โNone of that is Trump. Thatโs all Fauci.โ
โWriting to himselfโฆat 80!โ
โWhy? So he can read it back when heโs 100 and remember what a hot piece of ass he was at 80?โ
[Laughter and applause]
โTalk about main character syndrome!โ
Last night may have been the worst coached game I have ever seen on the southside. In a huge game too. Every decision seemed worse than the previous one.
The start of it was before my time, but too many people forget that the Illinois tollway was initially sold to the public as a temporary toll and that it would end... And yes... JB thought it necessary to increase the cost, yet again, in 2026.
Fascinating discussion from 1995.. I recall the first time a friend showed me youtube in like 2000... Letterman's questions about advancements of technology (1995 level internet) to real life then, are very apropos to how we all interact with 2026 artificial intelligence/self-driving cars and such.
Bill Gates went on Letterman in 1995 to explain the internet and the whole room laughed at him.
He was 40 years old, worth $15 billion, the richest man alive.
Dave asked what the internet actually was.
Gates said people publish there, send electronic mail, find others who share their interests.
Dave called it the troubled loner chat room and the crowd roared.
Gates said you could hear a baseball game on your computer whenever you wanted.
Dave asked if radio rang a bell, then if tape recorders rang a bell.
More laughter while Gates just smiled and waited.
He had spent 20 years building toward 1 sentence a computer on every desk and in every home and he was already living in a 50,000 square foot house with screens on every wall pulling up any painting on command.
The audience heard a rich weirdo describing 2026.
Near the end Dave asked if there was another level coming, something nobody had imagined yet.
Gates went quiet, then said maybe someday computers could think, but it was a very tough problem with almost no progress, and some believed it would never happen.
Dave grinned we donโt want them to think, do we.
That was the only thing Gates got wrong that night.
30 years later every joke in that clip runs your life.
The internet won, baseball streams, and the computers think.
Right now CNN has person after person claiming that China doesn't interfere in our elections.
Apparently they don't watch CNN.
2024. CNN does a segment on Chinese election interference with Tony Blinken.
This is CNN.
Thank you for the context... For a minute there, I almost mistook this as footage of folks opening the door at Last Chance Saloon in Macomb, IL from 2002 before Illinois banned smoking in bars and restaurants. This smoke is rough outside from Canada, but hanging for a few hours at a few Western Illinois U local bars pre-2005-ish was prolly alot worse.
Well we made it to 250 years.... Lots of fighting, arguing, debating, and also love and compassion to get there. All I wanna know is, who's coming with me for the next 250 years? :)

๐จ๐จ| BREAKING: Uruguay's Football Association have ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ the squad's private plane. โ๏ธโ
All players will return home on commercial flights after their World Cup exit.
[@MartinCharquero]
Well.. Respectfully, CP, he is playing for the United States and not England or Crystal Palace. None the less, I would have loved for him to have banged that header in yesterday for a 5th goal.
Our Chris Richards.
He completed all 83 passes he attempted for the @USMNT against Paraguay. The most passes with a 100% accuracy rate by any player in a @FIFAWorldCup match since 1966.
