@capitalweather@islivingston@dougkammerer are we more impressed with 33 feet of snow or 38 inches of precipitation out west? Of course I’ll take snow. 2+ feet of snow, every day, for 15 days…that’s a solid days work here in snow map land.
@stsnowflake10 @WxriskUpAllNite Hi, Snowflake! Please re-read the tweet. I am known for outlandish snow maps, it's kinda my thing. DT, however, strives for being correct yet is giving NWS grief for calling for too much snow while he is currently calling for triple what they are. That...doesn't make sense.
@WxriskUpAllNite Hi DT- GFS Snow Maps here! I'm known for outlandish snow maps, but your current snow map takes the cake. 10+ for Leesburg & 6"+ for Fairfax is triple what the NWS has, has no model support for days, and you're giving NWS grief for their snow map? Take it easy, sir.
@ryans_wx @islivingston@dukiesr1 The key to any snow ratio is, “if it increases totals on long range snow maps, it must be legit, post to Twitter ASAP.”
Look, I don’t like the guy, but Mr. Euro keeps one-upping himself with these maps. I’m mostly jealous I didn’t beat him to the outlandish totals, and I will not be outdone when it comes to snow maps. I’ll be back. @ryans_wx @islivingston@dukiesr1

I’ve never liked him much, but Mr. Euro has a storm that reaches VA Beach, then somehow stops just offshore and dumps snow on northern VA for 36 straight hours. Seems totally reasonable and I’m just upset I didn’t think of something this outlandish.

See here what I bestowed on central CA yesterday-on average, an inch of snow ever hour for the next 15 straight days. Feeing frisky, thinking about upping the ante today, check back later.
@capitalweather@islivingston Models spitting out an inch of snow in DC causes excitement. Today, I gave that to the central California mountains for, on average, every single hour, for the next 360 hours (15 days).
You're so into being a contrarion these days you're sharing NAM snow maps beyond 48? SAD. The only snow map you need is below, you're welcome, please do better.
Love,
GFS Snow Map
Douglas, I'm so very disappointed in you. Using the NAM for winter weather that far in the future?? C'mon, you're better than that. GFS Snow Maps, ALWAYS.

This is the 12z NAM. Not what you want to see of you are a #SNOW lover like me! More Ice and Rain for MOST of our region. Again I-81 best chance for big snows!!! Stay tuned. Just one model
Hello again, friends! My ensembles match the operational, all other models also support my solution, and the excitement level is...near zero. What's going on here?! GET EXCITED.
@dukiesr1 You'll see me oscillate between best snow north and south next few days, but it's April, so 1) I always trend north and 2) unless it snows at night, it won't stick in NC. Stay tuned.
