@RutgersAltRoute A2 I think that teaching the value of tolerance and diversity is a necessary first step in breaking apart the in-group/out-group dynamic that sets the stage for some types of bullying.  Developing strong relationships with parents supports this #AltRtEd #Standuptobullying

I worked with my colleagues on using Schoology and Google Classroom this year. We have a group on Schoology. Teachers will share the information with the group if they find something helpful online

I want to make an effort to create a closer tie to parents throughout the whole year. #AltRtEd #EdTech

@RutgersAltRoute A5 My current practice is a mix of VOIP-type applications (MS Teams, Google Voice) & email. I can see the use of a platform like Blogger for students to have a resource to turn to if they need help with remembering homework assignments (or to host expl. videos). #AltRtEd #EdTec

@RutgersAltRoute A4 Benefits include leveraging the comb. knowledge of the internet WRT content, delivery, best-practices, & communication. Being able to tap into best practices is quite powerful. The challenge is the disorganized and often conflicting presentation of information #AltRtEd #SpEd

@RutgersAltRoute A3 My current practice is a mix of Dept meetings & collaboration with my mentor. Technology is not a major part of this effort. I think that there is room for tech in these collaborative sessions, esp as a way to support concepts being communicated in meetings.#AltRtEd #EdTech

@RutgersAltRoute A2 Key barriers: from the comp literacy side, I believe that the move away from skeuomorphism makes user interfaces difficult to understand.This coupled w use of one language text makes things a bit tough.I created a PP video describing how to use the technology.#AltRtEd #EdTech

@RutgersAltRoute A1 In class, I use a variety of presentation apps (in conjunction with Smart Boards).  For eLearning, I use computer monitoring/communication apps, the multi-use platform PowerSchool, & a variety of MS apps (specifically Forms) for content delivery & Assessment.#AltRtEd #EdTech
