مجزرة بناية العكر | بيروت
في ٦ آب ١٩٨٢ قصفت الطائرات"الإسرائيلية" بناية العكر في منطقة الصنائع - بيروت، مما أدى لاستشهاد وجرح ٢٥٠ من سكانها ومعظمهم من ��لمهجّرين من مخيمي الضبية وجسر الباشا.
وكان الهدف من قصف بناية العكر هو اغتيال ياسر عرفات "أبو عمار" حيث ظن "الإسرائيليون" أنه سيكون متواجدا فيها، بعد أن لاحقوا أحد حراسه الذي أحضر عائلته (والده ووالدته وزوجته و أطفاله الأربعة) إلى البناية لحمايتهم، وكان ك�� سكانها من المدنيين..لكن أفراد عائلته كلهم استشهدوا في القصف (بحسب ما نُشر في جريدة القبس الكويتية ٧ آب ١٩٨٢)..

ويكتب محمود درويش عن هذه المجزرة في كتابه "ذاكرة للنسيان": كانت حديقة الصنايع تشهد أحد مظاهر يوم الحشر. مئات الخائفين يحيطون بتابوت حجري ضخم. الوجوم يحمل ثقل المعادن تحت شمس محجبة بجميع ألوان الرماد. نندس بين الحشود لنجد مكانا للتطلع خلف الأكتاف المتزاحمة، خلف السياج البشري المشدود على خوف وغضب،فنرى: بناية ابتلعها قاع الأرض..
كما كتب أمجد ناصر عنها في كتابه "بيروت صغيرة بحجم راحة اليد: يوميات من حصار ١٩٨٢":
المهجرون الذين فروا من الموت طمرهم الموت تحت الأنقاض. المنطقة كلها تعج بالمهجرين الذين يفترشون الأرض في حديقة "الصنايع". هناك مخيم كامل في الحديقة، مخيم جديد من أبناء المخيمات القديمة..
