From Inverlochlairig, the ascent of Stob Coire an Lochan starts with a brutally steep 3,000ft ascent only to reveal "Na Staidhrichean", meaning "the stairs", another 800ft haul to get to the summit & beyond to Stob Binnein.

If you can be arsed strolling 3,200 ft up Ben Vorlich, and the weather is decent, you might get a good view of its neighbour, "Stuc a' Chroin". These are the two hills about 25 miles away, as seen behind Stirling Castle.
