Yeah, I mean it couldn’t be that Iran says those things because Israel and the United States have gone to war twice with Iran in the span of less than a year, and assassinated their leader, and assassinated their scientist before that, and destroyed one of their Embassy compounds before that.
I mean, surely that has nothing to do with it, and it’s for no reason that they say death to Israel, right? 🤨
@arash_tehran@AlexVatanka Funny you should mention Saddam since his country fell in less than 2 weeks so obviously strategic depth and missiles matter and no amount of history or civilization was going to stop number one and two army in the world.
@BrettErickson28 I think Iran has too many internal problems. Some are known and some are unknown and some are unknown unknowns. Also while internally support has increased since before the war I think post war that will fade.biggest irony of the war is the derailing of organic people movement.
@BrettErickson28 I can tell you from an Iranian that is currently in Iran and hates this fucking regime that those numbers are real and small % maybe there because they have to. The funny thing is had it not been for this war and how he died I am certain you wouldn’t get those numbers.🤦🏽♂️
@BrettErickson28 I disagree it looked all but over two weeks ago just like I disagreed it was over last June. Not only none of the issues that started the war have been resolved in anyway but now there is more unresolved and we all know how Israel and U.S. try and resolve issues.
@BrettErickson28 It’s 60/40 for me and the directions keep changing. On one hand there is significant pressure not just on Trump but on the Iranian side too not to deal. On the other hand I don’t see how Trump can even afford another shot at a war with no objectives simply to relieve some pressur
The "Iran will never be a normal country" narrative has expired long ago.
It expired when Iran fully implemented the JCPOA and abided by every obligation, as the IAEA confirmed in more than fifteen separate reports, only for the first Trump administration to tear up the deal unilaterally and without justification.
It expired when Iran returned to the table in good faith last year, advanced through five rounds of negotiations in Oman, had a sixth round already scheduled, and was then hit with aggression that killed the process.
It expired when Iran tried diplomacy a second time, reached a productive meeting in Geneva, and was preparing technical talks in Vienna just three days later, only to be struck again before those talks could even begin.
It expired when the world saw a full NPT member state with the most intrusive nuclear monitoring regime in history deliver zero evidence of weaponization, while the "nuclear bomb ambitions" line was exposed as the same recycled pretext used to justify endless hostility.
It expired when the entire world watched Iran back resistance movements against occupation and apartheid - positions that most of humanity openly embraced after the genocide in Gaza made the double standards impossible to hide.
Of course Iran will never hand the Strait of Hormuz back to hostile powers that have repeatedly used it as a highway to arm military bases and launch wars whose stated goal was the destruction of its civilians and infrastructure.
Iran is not only a normal country. It is a normal civilization - ancient, sovereign, and done pretending its survival depends on the approval of regimes that have never stopped trying to strangle it.
@MarioNawfal He is a giant fucking fraud and grtd you this never happened or at best someone pranked him and he decided to use it as pr. This guy is fucking ass clown.
@MarioNawfal Is international law a switch that Rubio can turn referring to it on and off anytime he wants?
Wasn’t the attack on Iran not illegal by same international law?
Isn’t Bibi a wanted war criminal by the same international law?
Who the fuck are you kidding? You sit ate finished.
@MarioNawfal Not really, what is the best case scenario for Trump post election and just how leverage do you think Iran loses in that case?
Very little I would argue.
