@Kev_OC66@davemeltzerWON All of those examples outside of your last are examples of creative wrestlers given a lot of creative rope. For instance Toni and RJ deserve lions share of credit, not TK. Now your last example, it’s mediocre and feels like a TK creative endeavor
@PWC_3 2/2 Conceptual booking aside, week to week episodic plotting is certainly not in Tony’s wheelhouse. I don’t think he has the time or patience, stretched too thin. The territory days are over, one person cannot do this much in the company and provide the nuance and detail needed
@PWC_3 Hangman-Kenny was great, but I wonder how involved Tony really was. Listening to interviews with Tony at the time it sounded like the millennial cowboy concept was over his head. It feels like a Bucks-Hangman project. Swerve-Hangman has Swerve’s creative fingerprints all over it
@NotTheGuy099@KieranDownes1@davemeltzerWON NXT is developmental my man. Dynamite is the flagship. You can’t spin dropping 40% in a year as “industry’s changing” when their competition’s flagship is flourishing
@davemeltzerWON It’s the booking Dave. And not listening to the fans. Many felt very unheard by AEW. Plus less of a need for an alternative brand since WWE has improved drastically
@davemeltzerWON Fair point, but Tony promised to blaze a new path and set a new standard in the industry. Feels like empty promises.
Following status quo is fine, but that’s not what we were sold. That’s the crux of the issue here
