@RebellingHunter Drawing in a deep breath, and letting it out slowly, she softened her gaze a little for him.
"I'd lost too much for it to all be thrown away and to start over.
I'm never letting myself be reborn. "
@RebellingHunter "A normal human. With no magical affinity, nothing special. " She looked up at him, her eyes cold. "Do you know what it took to gain the power I have now?"
@RebellingHunter Her eyes darkened some, and she looked down at her drink.
"Yeah? All shiny and fresh, clean as a daisy. Nothing of /me/ left. I'd be a new person entirely. "
@RebellingHunter The others in the diner also returned to normal, as did the waitress.
"Oh dear! Did I get something wrong about your order sir?" She asked worriedly as Penn returned from the restroom
@RebellingHunter "Stay out of our way. Or we can't guarantee the safety of Lady Helen" She threatened, letting him go as she returned to that customer service smile.
@RebellingHunter "She is a lich. She steals the life forces of those around her. Haven't you ever wondered why she befriended an immortal? Why she curses you?" The waitress sneered
@RebellingHunter "Help us reap the lich, and Helen will remain unharmed. " She threatened coldly as the diner fell eerily silent.
All of the patrons were staring at Helios, their eyes devoid of emotions like they weren't their own.
@RebellingHunter The waitress grabbed Helios's wrist suddenly, holding it with a crushing strength.
"You've helped her escape us for far too long. It'd be a shame if something were to happen to Helen because you didn't allow us to reap a soul"
@RebellingHunter "Not a problem sir" The waitress smiled
"I'll be right back. " Penn got up, heading for the bathroom.
And the waitress watched her leave, an eerie smile on her lips.
