The fact that MJ’s reaction to “Ock took over my body” was just to sigh and lecture him instead of think of moments like this and be horrified is a great example of her being completely disrespected and not treated as a character
Idk still a lot of good this season, just a real big step down from season 1. Probably would give season two a 6/10 or 7/10. Probably more towards a 6/10.
The more I think about X-Men 97 season two the less I like it. I remember being very worried when it was announced the "What If" people would be taking over the show and it would seem that concern was very justified. Very upsetting I loved season 1 so much.
Spider-Man Brand New Day is perfect, 10/10. Can't remember the last time I walked out of a superhero movie with no nitpicks. Give everyone involved in the making of that film 10 trillion dollars immediately.
@b4s_burner I had a lot of other criticisms besides Emma, and I certainly do read the comics, hence why I have issues with Danger's adaptation and the several Emma story moments the show uses from the comics that are either given to other characters or quickly glossed over (E for Extinction)
I never ever thought I would say this, but the new X-Men 97 Episode kind of sucked. Completely butchered Danger, sidelined Emma again, some pretty awful exposition at points and for once the breakneck pacing was actually a major negative. Polaris + end teaser was cool though.
Like the second half of this episode felt like I was watching a YouTube short on 2x speed. Polaris/Bishop rivals to friends instantly out of nowhere, danger final fight rushing through the beats, X-Corp out of nowhere. Shame, Danger in Astonishing X-Men was so peak too.
