@OP_senju Scars fade over time. Zuko had a relatively light scar so it will have faded a lot sooner.

Aang’s own scar is a lot smaller than is used to be even with the increased size of his back.

It takes years but all but the worst scars will fade completely.

They just cannot act as a witness to a case they’re acting as a judge in.

I.e. The judge can call a witness, the judge just cannot BE said witness.
