Happy 34th Anniversary to the Great NDC Party
Today marks 34 years of resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of social democracy and national development.
Hip Hip Hipโฆ Hurray!
So the Afari Millitary Hospital was 90% complete when handed over to the NPP in 2017 and for 8 solid years under AKUFFO ADDO and BAWUMIA, the project was not able to be completed and in two years into JDM administration, what are they saying. Hypocrites
Watch what the then Defence Minister under the NPP said during his vetting in 2021
Whenever you hear anything "news" or under guise of "criticism" from Scanty and Kwadwo Sheldon, don't take it seriously. They are simply chasing opportunities to build and expand their studios.
Kwadwo Sheldon received GHโต400,000 from the NPP to set up his studio, so everything he does today is simply a way of paying back his political benefactors. Now, he has brought Scanty into the fold after NDC appointees turned him down.
Unlike the NPP, the NDC is not known for the culture of sharing money.
Scanty has been promised a scholarship to pursue a master's degree in the United States, along with heavy equipment for his studio, if Bawumia returns to power. That is why he is doing everything possible to please those who have made these promises by tarnishing the image of the President John Dramani Mahama.
At the end of the day, everything he is doing is driven by personal interest and self-benefitโnothing more.
This is the state the NDC handed over Afari Military Hospital to the NPP in 2017.
Watch the report and make your own conclusions
I hate what I don't like.
This is the state in which President Mahama handed over the Afari Military Hospital to the NPP in 2017.
The NPP sat back and did nothing for eight long years, only to go back into opposition and start shouting like crazy.
Watch and learn.
The Minister Who Wants Africa to Build; Not Just Buy
An Attendee at the 2026 ECOWAS Regional Hackathon Thoughts
Sitting in the audience at the Mensvic Grand Hotel this afternoon, I expected the usual political platitudes that open these kinds of events. Instead, the Hon. Samuel Nartey George @samgeorgegh gave the room of young tech minds a masterclass in leadership, national pride, and raw digital ambition.
Opening the ECOWAS Regional Hackathon, the Minister didn't just rattle off statistics. He spoke directly to the digital heartbeat of our continent. In an era where Africa is often treated as a mere consumer of Western tech, Sam George laid down a powerful marker for digital sovereignty: "Countries that cannot defend their own digital infrastructure become dependent on foreign vendors... That is not a position any sovereign nation wants to be in."
What makes his approach so refreshing is his clear focus on turning potential into power. He directly addressed the reality of cybercrime, noting how heartbreaking it is to see brilliant young minds pointing their technical skills in the wrong direction. Instead of just throwing the book at them, his vision is about redirection and building up a defensive wall of talent through initiatives like Ghana's One Million Coders programme.
When he said, "Anyone can build a tool. The question is whether your tool makes people safer, more empowered, and better off", the room went completely silent. You could feel the weight of responsibility shifting to the developers.
This is the kind of forward-thinking leadership Ghana and West Africa desperately need right now. Minister Sam George isn't just looking at the next election; he is actively investing in the next generation of digital defenders.
Ghana Must Work!
