TIME has named our co-founder, Masai Ujiri, to the inaugural 2026 TIME100 Sports list, recognizing 100 of the most influential figures shaping the global sports landscape.
Congratulation Masai, A well-deserved honour on the world stage.
Our recent tour was about more than just infrastructureโit was about investment. Alongside our court unveilings, we held women coaching clinics in Nigeria and Ethiopia ๐ณ๐ฌ ๐ช๐น
A court is a promise, but empowering the local leaders who mentor youth is how we make that promise last.
Reaching 50 courts is still surreal. Thinking about the communities and lives that have touched us along this journey makes us grateful beyond words. Now, we look forward to the next 50 and the continuation of our mission.
50 courts across the continent is just the beginning. Every court we build moves us closer to a continent where top-tier sports infrastructure is the norm, not the exception, for African youth. ๐ Volume up to hear Masai Ujiri's full message on this milestone.
Since launching the #BuiltWithin initiative in September 2021, we have built spaces for youth to grow and lead across 16 African nations. For court #50, that journey brought us full circle to the historic King's College Lagos in Nigeria, a milestone we will cherish forever. ๐ณ๐ฌ
50 courts. 50 unique stories told through colour & design ๐๐จ
Our court designs were inspired directly by the local area and the community that fills them with life. Weโre halfway to 100 builds โ creating spaces for African youth to grow on and off the court ๐โ๐พ
#BuiltWithin
49 courts are now locked in, each featuring a unique design that reflects the story of its community.
๐ฅ Stay tuned to see court number 50 come to life.
This week, we will reach court #50. As we hit this milestone, we're looking back at some of the moments that brought us here.
To every local leader who welcomed us, every coach who gave their time, and our incredible partners and supporters: we share this milestone with you.
Addis Ababa, we see you! ๐ช๐น๐ฅ
