It’s that time of year!! It’s FFA week!!! Bring in money tomorrow to enjoy a week of free dress. Tuesday= flannel Wednesday= cowboy Thursday= Camo and Friday= blue and gold. We will also be having an Ag Olympics on Wednesday during Advisee.

Today Molly, Molly, and @josie_ondessonk attended the Fourth General Session where they learned to embrace the grey area of life from National FFA Secretary Layni LeBlanc. They also took a tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where they got to ‘kiss the bricks.’

The girls have listened to many speakers about the future of agriculture and have visited many booths on how to strengthen our chapter at home! #gibaultproud #blueroom19 #ffa19

@josie_ondessonk molly benberthy and Molly bueltemann went to a horse judging competition this past Friday at SIUC. They placed 3rd in sections and 10th in district. Molly Penberthy places 1st overall. #gibaultproud

🐴 Gibault’s FFA horse judging team- Molly Bueltemann, Molly Penberthy, and Josie Hooten- placed 3rd in section 22 and 10th in district 5. Molly Penberthy was the 1st place individual overall. Great job ladies!

Colleen and josie went to different sessions and listened to keynote speeches and retiring addresses given by the major state officers. They were also voters for the new Major State Officers for the coming year. #gibaultproud #ILFFACONV19 #ELEVATEILFFA

@colleen4090 and @josie_ondessonk went to Illinois FFA convention and were awarded the State FFA degree, this was the first time in Gibault history. Josie was recognized for her spotlight on service project and also recognized a silver ranking for the chapter scrapbook.

Despite the rain, some of our members attended Conservation Day and taught children about predator and prey, monarch butterflies, and soil. They also led the kids in a series of outdoor activities!!

The mulch project was a success! It was a lot of work but worth it. Thank you to Sev for feeding the workers once again!

Open House!! Tomorrow April 20th the greenhouse will be open from 8am-1pm to anyone who would like to see what our FFA program has been working on! Plants will be available to purchase before our first official plant sale which is next week April 27th!!

The livestock judging team of Ryan Kruse, Nick Chambers, and Josie Hooten placed 9th in section 22 and 33rd in District 5. We’re #gibaultproud of this great group!
