I AM 60!!!!! I have never been more grateful, more fired up, or more certain of what I was made for. Looking back at these moments, the places, the faces, I am overwhelmed by what God has done and undone and rebuilt. None of it was what I planned. All of it was better. 💛

@mikeachimugu01 Good morning Sir @mikeachimugu01
Following up, I sent the email on Sunday (13th September) but haven't received any acknowledgement or direction on next steps yet. Would appreciate any nudge. Thank you.
One day when I'm married, I want to look up across the room at my husband and know that I did absolutely nothing in my own strength to make this happen. I want to be at peace knowing it was all God.
Sometimes I will be accused by some men that I was a “born again virgin” that went into church when my eggs were almost dry, not for faith but to desperately look for a husband and make some innocent church man marry me. Or other times I’ll be accused by feminists of joining the church to just marry any loser who would give me a chance, because I’m just such a pick me.
Both are wrong
When my husband and I met, both of us were atheists. I was only 23. Far away still from any dry eggs. I was a liberal, he was far more conservative but still very much socially liberal. Eventually I came more to his side. Changed my perspective on lots of things and we both found our place together where we agreed. But in all of this, one thing never changed. We were absolutely not Christians. And we had no intentions of ever becoming it either.
Almost four years later, my husband was deployed, he was very far away. At the time he was still just my boyfriend, but something mysterious started happening in both our lives at the same time. We both for very different reasons and on very different paths began to look seriously at the Christian faith. We had no idea what we were doing but somehow, continents apart, God worked in both our hearts and lives at the same exact time. When he got back, I still so vividly remember our talk in the kitchen, both of us were so embarrassed to admit to one another that we actually maybe did believe in God, that maybe we had been wrong all this time, that maybe those silly Christians had been right all along…
We talked for hours. We went to church that next Sunday and have been believers ever since.
To this day I have no idea how to explain what happened to us, we were thousands of miles apart, neither of us looking for religion, neither of us trying to convince the other of anything, and somehow we both came home believing the same impossible thing.
The world is sick…. Very sick!
The only answer is Doctor JESUS!
Saints, release His fragrance everywhere you go…
Share the Love of Jesus with someone today.
JESUS! The only answer to a dying world.
You my friend, you have been robbed.
There used to be a time when a simple brushing of a hand would keep you up at night, imagining all the ways it meant something, there used to be a time when a glance left us inspired, hoping, longing, a time when touch was rare, and because it was rare, it mattered.
Now the world we live in is far different. We have become overstimulated, desensitized, so much so that sex is not even an intimate thing we do anymore. Our bodies touch others without much constraint. We touch everything and we feel nothing.
But you and I, we were made for more than this.
You were made to tremble at a kiss.
You were made to feel millions of butterflies by a hand on your back
You were made to feel your heart race because somehow across the room your eyes meet.
There was so much life, meaning and power in restraining our impulses. We honored the mysterious ways of love, of waiting, of taking our time. But now we swipe people as if they came in a catalog, we allow intimacy with strangers, with people we barely know, and yet we wonder why nothing feels real anymore?
Deep down you know this is wrong. Something inside all of us longs for something more. Love that is slow but purposeful, a touch that is restrained but yet means something, and we know this because we were not made to be consumed, we were not made to consume one another, instead we were made for something far better, we were made to be known.
@mikeachimugu01 I know NCAR Part 19.18 entitles me to compensation for both. I've heard it said that our laws look good on paper but don't work in practice. As a lawyer, I really want to see it work.
Thank you for the work you do.
Hi, @mikeachimugu01 I've followed how responsive you've been, it's genuinely reassuring to see.
My ASKY flight (PIR LOSKP17286) had a delayed bag for several days, and the handle snapped off when I retrieved it. I've emailed ASKY twice with no response.
There’s a man in the book of Ruth, who I’d never heard of before I was Christian, who explains exactly why God had to become human.
Boaz.
A “kinsman-redeemer.”
In that culture, if you fell into ruin, a relative with means could pay your debt and bring you into his family. But he had to meet three conditions.
He had to be ABLE to pay.
He had to be WILLING.
And he had to be RELATED, close enough kin to qualify.
After my radical conversion to Christianity, I realized that to redeem me, someone needed all three.
Able: only God has the means.
Willing: only love would choose it.
Related: He had to become one of us.
That’s the whole reason for the incarnation.
God couldn’t redeem me from a distance.
He had to become my relative to buy me back.
Islam gave me a God too far to ever be my kin. Jesus became my brother to become my Redeemer.
He came close enough to qualify.
I have been looking at 2 kings 19,where King Hezekiah received a letter from the king of Assyria. It was full of threats, fear, and intimidation. Everything around him suggested that defeat was certain.
But Hezekiah did something many of us forget to do.
The Bible says,
"Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord." 2 Kings 19:14
He did not argue with the letter. He did not let fear make the decision. He took the matter straight to God.
And God answered!
He sent a word through the prophet Isaiah, promising to defend Jerusalem. That very night, the angel of the Lord struck down 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. The same king who had threatened Hezekiah went back home in shame, and his reign ended in defeat. God fought the battle that Hezekiah could never have won on his own.
Tonight, take your letter to the temple.
Spread before God the report that has stolen your peace. The rejection. The unpaid bills. The doctor's report. The family battle. The delay. The burden you have carried in silence.
Do not end this day holding what God is waiting to handle.
Your victory may not begin with a strategy. It may begin with surrender.
The letter is not the final word. Heaven is.
The battle changed the moment Hezekiah entered the temple. Yours can change tonight.
May the God who answered Hezekiah answer you before the sun rises.
Declare it in faith:
Heaven has the final word over my life!
