An intense altercation broke out between a passenger and a police officer over concerns raised about a search through personal effects and food, during a stop at a police checkpoint at Obawale, in the Eastern Region.

The passenger raised concerns about the hygienic circumstances under which the search was being conducted, after the police officer attempted to search through gari with a plastic rubber wrapped around his hands.
