And that’s a wrap on a successful set of showings of Dido & Aeneas with Kings Opera. Was such a delight to be given the Aeneas role and to répétiteur during rehearsals

Had the absolute pleasure to talk to @rosgilman today for @feliximperial . It was great to hear him talk about his own musical inspirations, work and influences as well as discuss his recent Septimus and London Music+Sound awards nominations! (Feature in Felix Coming soon)

This spectacular window belongs to St Katherine Cree and was spared from the fire of London retaining its Jacobean design. The window was modelled on the rose window of Old St Paul’s. Today it houses the Bell of HMS Lancastria sunk in 1940 as well as the grave of Hans Holbein ty.
Sepulchre’s was originally dedicated to St Edmund but renamed during the Crusades. Rebuilt by Joshua Marshall, it is know for being the burial place of John Smith (governor of Virginia), and also the bells are the ‘Bells of Old Bailey’ mentioned in the rhyme ‘Oranges and Lemons’
Back on the church spree!
St Mary Abchurch first mentioned around 1198, rebuilt by Wren with DOME painting by William Snow. The Hebrew character are of the name of God. Quite a sight to behold. St Mary’s is also is the HQ for Friends of City Churches who make this helpful map!
