before I realized this I already argue with people on twitter and facebook for 10+ year 🤣 I need to listen to my parent more often
Meet twin brothers Urui and Shouma, two young Soul Reaper apprentices from the Komamura Clan's Werebeast realm
Enrolling three years after the Thousand-Year Blood War, the pair train directly under Squad 7 Captain Tetsuzaemon Iba and Sajin Komamura himself, who now lives fully as a wolf. Because the twins can naturally comprehend Sajin's speech, they proudly serve as his translators to the rest of the Seireitei
Art by Tite Kubo
Considering that the events of BLEACH: Mirrors High take place after the end of the Thousand-Year Blood War, I noticed something interesting about the captains' meeting shown in the opening.
It seems that Iba and Lisa had not yet officially become captains at that point. In other words, they were carrying out the duties of captains without formally holding the rank.
This might explain why Iba still has the lieutenant's badge on his arm, while Lisa isn't wearing the captain's haori that we see her wearing ten years later.
We also know from the novels that, following the war, the Gotei 13 suffered from a severe shortage of officers. If I remember correctly, they even started recruiting students from the Shin'o Academy before they had officially graduated, although I'm not entirely sure about that detail.
But the point is that the Gotei 13 desperately needed new blood, which could also explain why Kubo designed more than 13 new characters for the game.
Of course, these characters were primarily created to serve the game's story and gameplay, but from a lore perspective, their introduction actually makes a lot of sense.
