šØā¼ļøThis breaks my heart. A young man is gone, a wife and family are grieving, and there is nothing amusing or victorious about that. I do not post this to mock him, exploit his death, or score points against people who loved him. I post it because eternity is real, doctrine matters, and moments like this remind me why I refuse to treat religious error as a harmless difference of opinion.
The Bible warned plainly about āanother Jesusā and āanother gospelā (2 Corinthians 11:4; Galatians 1:8ā9). Mormonism does not merely use different terminology for historic Christianity. It presents a fundamentally different theology of God, Christ, revelation, and salvation. When a religious system teaches doctrines about God and Christ that cannot be reconciled with the written word of God, compassion does not require me to call the contradiction harmless. The most dangerous lie is often the one wearing the vocabulary of truth.
Watching a man near the end of his life speak about Nephi, the Book of Mormon, and the spiritual journey he believed had brought him there does not make me want to soften my opposition to Mormonism. It makes me more determined. A man can be sincere, intelligent, kind, courageous, and completely persuaded, and still be persuaded of something false. Sincerity cannot turn another gospel into the gospel of Christ. Eternity is far too serious for Christians to smile politely while souls are taught to place confidence in revelations God never gave.
So yes, I will continue exposing Mormon doctrine. Not because I hate Mormons, but because I care about them too much to tell them the differences do not matter. Jesus Christ is not merely one character inside somebody elseās religious system. Salvation is not found by climbing a spiritual ladder, following another testament, or trusting another revelation. āBelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be savedā (Acts 16:31). May God comfort this manās grieving family, and may his passing remind every one of us that when eternity is involved, telling the truth is not cruelty. Silence can be.
People once said you canāt separate Church from State. It happened.
Now we need the next reform: separation of Money and State.
Every time governments control the currency, the people get debased.
Sound money protects agency. Fiat protects power.
Hinduism teaches reincarnation, polytheism & absorption into an impersonal Brahman.
LDS teaches resurrection, monotheism through divine unity & eternal relationship with a personal God.
Context!
The family told their bishop they wanted the blessings of tithing despite their struggles.
After reading scripture together, they still chose to pay, the bishopās words came in response to their faith, not pressure.
He reassured them God wouldnāt abandon them & He didnāt
@NewsMormon Faith isnāt the opposite of science, theyāre tools for different truths.
Science studies what God created; it doesnāt replace Him.
Even science runs on unseen trust, logic, order & reason.
Five goalpost shifts now, keep it up, your doing just fine for not rebutting first one.
Jack in the box has jumped from indoctrination to faith to proof, three goalpost shifts in one thread. Smh
Burden of proof cuts both ways.
You canāt prove life ends at death any more than I can prove it continues.
Faith isnāt lab science, itās meaning, purpose, and conscience.
@GimmeTheLu These are just baseless assertions you canāt possibly prove.
Thereās nothing eternal about what happens inside a temple. The burden of proof is on youāand you canāt meet it.
Until then, brainwashing kids with blood oath inspired temple rituals is immoral.
@NewsMormon Faith isnāt anti-science, it fills the gap where data ends and purpose begins.
Science answers how, faith answers why.
Proof wonāt change a heart thatās chosen disbelief.
@NewsMormon Weāve gone from indoctrination, faith, proof & now God doesnāt exist.
Demanding physical proof of the metaphysical is like using a telescope to weigh justice.
Russellās teapot cuts both ways, you canāt prove God, but you canāt prove meaning, morality, or consciousness either.
@NewsMormon Youāve gone fully ad hominem, switched from ideas to insults.
Russellās teapot shows you canāt disprove something just by mocking it.
Logic cuts both ways. Demand evidence for faith but offer none for meaning.
All your attemps debunked. Same pattern, no rebuttal, just deflection.
@NewsMormon Science explains the how.
Faith explains the why.
Even science runs on belief: trusting in data, integrity & process. Thatās faith in method, not delusion.
Temples use symbolism, not secrecy. Mocking what you donāt understand only shows the limits of your lens.
@NewsMormon Youāve now gone from indoctrination to science > faith, thatās a new argument.
Science & faith answer different questions: how vs why.
Both require trust in unseen data. Your masonic blood oath line isnāt science, itās speculation dressed as fact.
Youāve now shifted from indoctrination to attacking faith itself. If faithās unreliable, tell that to every scientist, reformer & freedom fighter who acted on conviction before proof.
Temples arenāt abuse theyāre covenants.
Agency, not coercion, defines worship.
@GimmeTheLu First, faith is an unreliable path to truth. Second, the OP argues that using emotional manipulation to indoctrinate toddlers to believe they must memorize secret handshakes and passwords to enter heaven isnāt just baseless, itās spiritual abuse disguised as āfaith.ā

@NewsMormon Youāre mixing partial truths with emotional framing.
