As an NHS worker, being the relative when family members are patients is hard. Particularly when trying not to get too involved over involved in care. Today, I was a relative of family members. I can't thank all the teams enough for looking after them so well!#averygratefulnurse

A day late but yesterday marked 6 months as a NQN. It's not been an easy journey what so ever. But I've finally started to feel a bit more settled for the first time in months. Highlight of the month receiving amazing feedback from a lovely CCOT nurse. Onwards and upwards✨️💚
RN update - 6 weeks into new role, and it's been a roller coaster of a journey. Emotions are all over the place, and self- doubt of being good enough to do this. But today was a highlight as I was signed off on IV therapy competency. Small win and big personal achievement 💚✨️
Had the most amazing time watching @TheBodyguardUK! @iamzoebirkett was absolutely incredible, show felt like a concert all the way through. All the cast were amazing! Forgot how much I love this musical 💚💚✨️
Student nurse moment - only a month to go until all academic work is finished. Passed module and an exam 🎉 Not long until this RN thing becomes real. Also been learning about management, by being in charge with support 🙈💚
Recent student nurse moments include: learning how to do a swallow assessment, a teaching session on non-invasive ventilation, continuing to learn, practice and perfect the techniques of drawing up IVs (undersupervision of course) and generally trying to remember to breathe.
Student Nurse Moment - Today I spent the day learning about DKA and how to treat and manage fixed and variable insulin rates. Lots to take in and aspects to learn about including the protocol. This 3rd year student nurse thing is getting real 🤓😳💚
Student nurse moment #2 - today I learnt about how to insert a riles tube and inserted one under supervision. Not very confident in undertaking this intervention but a new skill to learn and develop further. 💚 #studentnurselife#apprenticenurse
