@united I thoroughly enjoy being told I have to check my bag because you ran out of space and then seeing several empty spaces in the overhead bins, and then having a flight attendant's rear end an inch and a half from my face.
@Ilovemy2sons@AmeriHealth@AmeriHealth is out of control. My premium raised over 100% this year and the price of my prescriptions obsessed about 70%. What the hell is the point? Last year they arbitrarily increased my premium $400 and drafted two months at once, took almost a year to get that refunded.
This whole situation feels bigger than just a Met Gala invite. If Nicki Minaj is really being sidelined over politics and who she chooses to stand with, then weβre no longer talking about fashion or art weβre talking about gatekeeping and power. The Met Gala has always claimed to celebrate creativity and individuality, yet it seems tolerance only applies when your views align with the right circles.
That said, private institutions do have the right to invite (or uninvite) whoever they want. The real question is whether culture is becoming less open to disagreement, or if celebrities are now expected to stay silent to keep access. Is this about consequences, or control? Either way, it says a lot about where influence, loyalty, and free expression actually stand right now.
