California faces the third-largest nursing shortage in the nation, and we need practical solutions now. AB 1400 (Soria) delivers, empowering community colleges to train more nurses and strengthen our care economy. This is another great bill for @GavinNewsom to sign.

While AB 705 and now, AB 1705, meet the needs of many students, the ASCCC will continue our work to ensure that we meet the needs of all our students, by supporting faculty with the ongoing implementation of both bills.
The California Community College system serves nearly 2 million students that are incredibly diverse and have a broad range of educational backgrounds and goals.
