Frozen section readiness session on GI cases with our Chair Dr. Chris Moskaluk. This is one of an 8-part series is geared towards #UVAPath senior residents & fellows to help them prepare for indirect supervision on frozen call. Junior trainees also welcome, of course!
Another year, another Spring Slide Series Kick-off! These Friday afternoon unknowns are one of my favorite teaching activities, such a fun way to cap off the week. 20 cases down, 120 to go… the #UVAPath residents did absolutely awesome with the breast set today. 💪
#UVAPath residents and faculty collaborated with @uva_snma last night to expose pre-health students in the Daniel Hale Williams Society to #pathology! One of many ways our trainees help inspire and educate the next generation! #path2path
Our residents are gearing up for Path-entine’s Day! Our wellness committee coordinated a decorating event so residents could hang their bags outside their doors now through 2/14 to collect their Path-entine treats. Some faculty got into the spirit as well! ♥️ 💕💖
Today is Thank a Resident Day! We could not be more grateful to our #UVAPath trainees. The practice of medicine can be incredibly hard and heavy, but doing it alongside this fine group makes it fun, too. Grateful for each of them, every day.
Looking forward to Dr. James Tiesinga's #UVAPath seminar "The Laboratory’s Role in Caring for Indigenous People: Healthcare Equity Issues & Challenges." Learned about his work w/ Alaskan Native Medical Center through a fantastic @ASCP_Chicago interview: https://t.co/7noa0vkQay
Bitter-sweet: Final unknowns conference with us PGY-2s being in the hot seat! Our chief, elisabeth prepared a great set of salivary gland tumors for the session and the infamous Dr. Frierson did some teaching. 🥰 A beautiful moment to reflect on the year that passed.
