T20 team news

After the withdrawal of @Leigh_CC, we were pleased to be asked to attend @Wigant20 finals Day.

We agreed to the request and help to ensure a full day of cricket for our friends and hosts @SVCC_11 in their centenary year.

Here is our team for Finals Day - a mixture of experience and youth.

It has now been confirmed that we are in semi final 1 starting at 10am against @Highfield_CC

It will be a tough task for our Green and Gold shirted heroes against teams from higher divisions.

But you know that our lads will give it their all for the cause.

Please try to get along and support the team - it will mean a lot to them 💚💛🏏

And whoever wins, let us hope that club cricket in Wigan is the winner too 🏏

1st Xl cricket thats at 5.45pm, starts at 12pm so you could bat until 5.35pm with 10 minute turn around.

I think you have to come off for tea for 30 minutes at 3.30 or 3.45 if your still batting.

It was a winning start in the league for our first team built on the back of a half century from Alex Martlew.

Meanwhile our second team were involved in a frustrating draw in a game that saw a century on debut for Waisullah Momand as part of a 5th wicket partnership of 177.

Been playing senior cricket at NHCC for over 20 years now and never seen so many people at training constantly week on week, hopefully good signs for 2026!

A great attitude being shown by all players as the 2026 season is now within touching distance. Practising with purpose and intensity.

Let's hope we get a few days of better weather to help the Grounds Teams at all Cricket Clubs prepare their grounds so that we can play this game we all love 🟢🟡🏏
