I think actually the manosphere and this guy are arguing the same problem. It's just that men need to be kind of assholes and masculine. Here's a story:

I used the work in a jail in California, and in the lower level facilities, they have in person visits. On visiting day, all of these stunning women would show up to visit broke ass convicts. I mean 9's and 10's, dressed quite sexy.

These men would talk to them like slaves, "hey, don't you forget to put some money on my books so I can buy commissary this week, if you don't, I'll be upset and there will be problems." Needless to say, dude had money on his books that week.

I guess the advice would be, be manly, and just kind of stop being nice. Tell them what to do. When you need them, they're not interested in you. When you're uninterested, they're supremely interested.

Lastly, women will say this sounds horrible, well my advice is never ask a fish how to catch fish, ask the fisherman.
