Basic necessities in the US are cheaper than in Ghana. Most private company workers in the US earn about $15 an hour, which is around 165 cedis. In Ghana, many private workers earn about 300 cedis for the whole month.

Fuel in many US states costs about 33 cedis per gallon, while in Ghana it’s around 45.8 cedis. Mobile data in the US is over 400% cheaper and more than 10,000% better in quality. Food is also more affordable in the US.

As a Ghanaian, how is this not concerning? Why defend your party when this is the reality?
