Grade 10 History students from @StPiusXOCSB went to visit some of our neighbours on Falaise Road to deliver postcards on the history of the town of Falaise in WWII and the Veterans Land Act and how they resulted in the creation of the Carleton Heights neighbourhood.
It’s always great to meet with our classmates at BSA and have time to enjoy each others company. Like yesterday when we were able to Be Community and play musical chairs and telephone.

Today students from @StPiusXOCSB learned about Black History at the @CanMusHistory and the history of Black contributions to Hockey. Making great connections between the past and present.
Our students were able to spend part of their snowy Thursday putting up this Periodic Table of Black Canadians providing representation to those who find they are not always fully seen in the curriculum. Can’t wait to have Grade 10 History @StPiusXOCSB explore this next semester

We loved all the workshops at the Black Student Forum and building bridges with our classmates from around the @OttCatholicSB in workshops on Sharing Our Stories, Claiming Our Legacy, Understanding Identity and Fostering Relationships. Can’t wait for this afternoon. @ocsbequity
