@MarkHau92395703 note the shovel pass not credited was literally the exact same as one 30 seconds later on CC game tying shot where an assist was credited
@unbiasedwnba@Thomasdfamily05@Bethann1Me@Adrienne2012 that is correct. There is generally no explicit instruction in rule book on an assist off a tipped pass, but accepted if it still hits the intended recipient and doesn't force them to change location or shooting decision, its still an assist.
Caitlin Clark 8 assists vs Mystics (along with the 2 missed ones)
Should've been 10, one was a tipped pass to Billings, the other a handoff to Kelsey
No better playmaking PG in the league than 22.
@JackWkcaJ@StavrosForever@WNBA@IONWNBA and that follows up with 'subjective decisions' - for an assist, the statistician must decide if the pass directly led to score w/o recipient having to excessively create their own shot. Clearly based on that, it was an assist. As said, interpreting incorrectly.
@JackWkcaJ@StavrosForever@WNBA@IONWNBA then they are interpreting incorrectly. If it deflects and ends up to an unintended player who scores, its not an assist, otherwise, it is, especially here were it literally went right to Billings as said.
@JackWkcaJ@StavrosForever@WNBA@IONWNBA yes they are if the receiver doesn't have to change locations to grab the deflection. Billings didn't flinch one bit. Same receiving spot and shot immediate = assist
@crashoutking1 best defenders get put on the best players, doesn't mean the defender sucks, just means the best player is better. Shit happens. If Caitlin was tasked with her, Sonia may have got 50!
@JacobGoode18@SavHamilton11 yet Paige with a 80 something average blows 2 to give Fever a shot they shouldn't have had to tie. It's easy in your backyard, not so much infront of 1000's of screaming fans.
@joncoopertweets it really isn't rocket science. Bruising from blood thinners, and because that embarrasses him too much, heavy heavy cover up to try to mask the black which just makes things look more ridiculous.
@kiss486 feels like clickbait to me...standard adventure swing, rope looks secured (the top one is a standard release to start the swing) and one article I can find. I figure there would be much more if true. Maybe the rope snapped after the fact?
