Many industries are over-managed... Including medicine. Glad industries are seeing this. Aggressive trimming of overhead needs to occur to be efficient. Meetings without direct purpose / agenda should be eliminated.

@acaseofthegolf1 I was at the tournament with my kids. I would say majority of the players (too many to name) signed for our kids especially at practice rounds. Those who didn’t… please know it’s not personal… they are working! @GaryWoodland is indeed great about it.
@orthotraumamd To be clear, we have been pretty lucky to have a few good administrators come through our department. Sadly this is not the case for others from what I hear.
@orthotraumamd These are definitely challenges. Autonomy is hard to achieve as it would be difficult to justify the current multi-layered system. We absolutely NEED good efficient administrators… just not 3+ mediocre ones… it’s not a problem we will see solved in our lifetime.

Do not read your Power Point Slides to your audience. I personally recommend no more than 15 words per slide. Ok to pause and let main ideas sink in… Have something to say… Good substance is the foundation. Any other tips on giving a memorable talk?
@Drlyndonmason@AOFAS_Journals Dr Mason, do you think the numbers are really tiny to make sweeping changes to your practice? Talus replacement, although acceptable, is far from perfection as well. Very tough problem for the patients.
