Congratulations to GHS’s two newest faculty members to become OSHA-10 trainers! Mr. Andrew Hodge and Mrs. Kim Longmire are now fully certified and will be able to certify students in their classes this fall! What a great way to get more students industry certified!
Students in Mr. Boggs’ Anatomy and Physiology class recently visited the Walter State Community College, Sevier County campus to tour the Surgical Tech program and see a demonstration of the Anatomage tables.

Congratulations to students from the junior class who received a composite score of 21+ on the ACT and the students who made a 21+ on at least one of the subsections on the ACT! Also, a special congratulation to Ashley Gass and Megan Wachtel for scoring a 29+ on the ACT.

Mr. Rick Johnson’s welding class participated in the Top Wrench welding competition in Powell, TN. These creative and competitive students are training to be professional welders.
GCS CTE, through funding from the Innovative School Models grant, hosted its first annual WOW (World of Work) Fair on Tuesday at GHS, where 1400 students in grades 7-12 attended. #WOW23
