The U.S. military is working around the clock to airlift life-saving aid, first responders, disaster experts and heavy equipment to help Venezuela after back-to-back earthquakes devastated the country.
At least 1,430 people have died and more than 60,000 are missing.
Since 1776, America's story has been a tale of freedom overcoming oppression, good defeating evil, and faith overcoming every challenge. We will continue to defend our values, our traditions, our faith, and our freedom.
God bless America 🇺🇸
"Tonight, as we stand on the edge of our 250th year of independence, I am thrilled to declare that AMERICA IS BACK... This is our heritage, this is our history, & this is the destiny of America: to be the greatest, most incredible country to ever grace the Earth." - POTUS
"What gives us purpose? We should look for love, get married and have lots of kids!"
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy encouraged the crowd to embrace family life as he spoke at President Trump's Great American State Fair kickoff on the National Mall.
Duffy delivered the message during the opening celebration for the America 250 festivities, a weeks-long event honoring the nation's 250th anniversary with a focus on patriotism, history and national unity.
In perhaps the biggest threat yet to a Middle East peace deal, both Iran and Bahrain are accusing each other of breaking the fragile ceasefire in the region.
President Trump is now facing new questions about the state of peace talks with Iran, as the U.S. launched new strikes in the Middle East in retaliation to Iran striking a ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
@madeleinerivera reports.
WATCH: The U.S. military released footage of strikes targeting Iranian military sites near the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command says Navy and Air Force fighter jets struck 10 targets tied to Iran's military infrastructure after Tehran launched a one-way drone attack on a commercial tanker.
The operation marks the latest U.S. response as tensions persist in the strategic waterway despite the U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement.
LET’S GO 🔥 Byron Donalds just said the Senate sucks and they are being LAZY. HE IS RIGHT 💯
“80% of Americans support voter ID. If Democrats want to obstruct it, they should have to show up and say it on the Senate floor”
MIC DROP
NOW: President Trump kicks off his speech at the Faith & Freedom Coalition Conference with a joke about returning to the Washington Hilton for the first time since the failed assassination attempt on his life took place there during the WHCA Dinner:
"I remember this place not so long ago... Hopefully, we'll have a little more pleasant. We're going to have a little more pleasant experience."
POWERFUL remarks from @RealTomHoman: "I’ve stood in the back of a tractor trailer with 19 dead people at my feet, including a 5-year-old boy—they all baked to death. I got to the crime scene, they’re all their underwear, trying to get some relief from the 170 degree heat in the back of steel truck with no air. Think of the way these people died. I've gone on my knees to talk to little girls as young as 9, that were raped multiple times by members of a cartel... That’s what happens when you have an unsecure border. Well guess what — there’s no little 9-year-old girl right now that anybody's getting on their knees and talking to because President Trump has closed the border down."
We are one week out from America's 250th birthday.
A quarter of a century ago, a bold experiment in self-governance began.
As we celebrate freedom and our nation's enduring story, it is our duty to fight and ensure it is preserved for the generations that will follow us. 🇺🇸
“We're supposed to bring people together.”
Vanilla Ice says performing at the America250 celebration is about more than music—it's about celebrating the country's 250th anniversary and honoring the generations of Americans who helped build it.
The rapper said the event is for “all walks of life,” adding that it's a chance to recognize service members, first responders and everyone who helped get America to this milestone.
Talk about making a splash.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani dives into a public pool... in a full business suit.
The mayor jumped in to celebrate the opening of the city's outdoor pool season and the 90th anniversary of New York's historic WPA-era pools.
The event quickly turned political, however, as Mamdani called on Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman to apologize for comments he made about Democratic congressional candidate Brad Lander, calling the remarks "unacceptable and unconscionable." Blakeman later fired back, saying the mayor "has no credibility."
