China is reportedly considering turning the Great Firewall into a two-way barrier by blocking overseas traffic to Chinese websites. If fully implemented, this could effectively transform the internet in China into a giant intranet, where the only way to access critical data from government agencies, universities, and companies may be to physically go to China.
This further reinforces a point I have been making for some time: the urgent need for China experts in the West to strengthen their ability to read between the lines of official propaganda and uncover the realities hidden behind the official narrative.
Putin will never enter into any real negotiations with Ukraine. For him, it means the end - either political death, or physical death. When the Russian side speaks of a readiness to negotiate, it is merely a diplomatic tactic to drag out the war. Russians understand the word "negotiation" as a synonym for Ukraine's capitulation.
There is no "window for negotiations", there is only a window of opportunity to force the Russians into peace by strength.
Today marks the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.
Thousands of Ukrainians are subjected to inhumane treatment in russian captivity.
Those who return change so much that their own families don't always recognize them.
This is what russian captivity looks like🧵
In the temporarily occupied part of the Luhansk region, the Russian occupation authorities continue to intensify the militarisation of education. Beginning with the new school year, the amount of military training for students in grades 6–11 will increase significantly. While it previously accounted for one-fifth of the “Fundamentals of security and homeland defence” curriculum, it will now make up half of the course. Under the revised curriculum, students will be trained to operate drones and will be required to participate in military training camps. These changes further demonstrate the use of the education system to prepare children for future service in the military structures of the occupying state.
This is how russia fights their genocidal war — directly targeting residential buildings far behind the frontline.
1 woman was killed in the attack; at least 3 people were wounded.
This is blatant terrorism.
We have to protect civilians from it:

The new Ethnic Unity & Progress Promotion Law #China will enforce on July 1 allows the #PRC gov’t to engage in transnational repression of dissent regardless of nationality. It’s oppression on a global scale & constitutes a crime against humanity.
Hong Kong authorities are now arresting bookstore owners just for selling books the government dislikes. The CCP is erasing independent bookstores to fully control what citizens are allowed to read.
On June 24, 2026, national security police arrested Leticia Wong, owner of Hunter Bookstore and a former pro-democracy district councillor, along with a co-proprietor. Their crime? Displaying and selling "seditious" publications. Authorities specifically targeted a biography of jailed pro-democracy media tycoon Jimmy Lai.
The owners face up to 7 years in prison for sedition under the 2024 Safeguarding National Security Ordinance, plus 14 years for allegedly receiving foreign funds. This is the second independent bookstore raided in the same district in three months, following a similar crackdown on Book Punch in March.
Over 400 people have been arrested under national security laws since 2020. The Committee to Protect Journalists, a global press freedom watchdog, warned that authorities are expanding these laws into the publishing sector to treat reading choices as national security threats.
When a government becomes terrified of a biography, it shows a profound fear of the truth.

China acts as if no border applies to it. A Chinese military helicopter harassed a Filipino aircraft in Philippine airspace.
No frontier seems off-limits for China when it comes to bullying smaller neighbors.
SHAME on China and its pirate fleet! While the world watches, Beijing’s massive armada of illegal trawlers is LOOTING Argentina’s waters like common sea bandits. This isn’t “fishing” — it’s outright THEFT and ecological WARFARE. Enough is enough.
🔴 Kherson: Seven aerial guided bombs hit the city.
Three injured; the numbers are being updated.
Among injured is a woman, 75, who lost her arm.
Energy infrastructure is damaged.

China promised Germany it would close its overseas police stations, yet Berlin now confirms Beijing is still operating them on German soil. If China breaks even basic agreements so quickly, can anyone truly trust it as a partner? Sovereignty is non-negotiable. No nation should tolerate foreign police forces operating on its territory.#China #Germany #Sovereignty

Deeply saddened by the tragic death of two Ukrainian demining specialists of Norwegian People’s Aid @NPAdisarm, aged just 24 and 25, who were killed in a Russian attack in Kherson region while carrying out humanitarian mine clearance operations. Four of their colleagues were also injured.
These young men were not combatants. They were saving lives. Day after day, they worked to remove the deadly legacy of Russia’s aggression from Ukrainian soil, making it possible for civilians to return home, children to play safely, and communities to rebuild.
The bitter irony is impossible to ignore: those risking their lives to clear mines and protect civilians became victims of the very aggression that made their work necessary in the first place.
My heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, colleagues, and the entire Norwegian People’s Aid team.
This crime must not be allowed to fade into statistics. Russia must be held accountable not only for launching its war of aggression against Ukraine, but also for the countless lives destroyed by its deliberate and indiscriminate attacks. Accountability is not a matter of politics. It is a matter of justice.

Every single day, russia continues to terrorize Ukrainian civilians.
⚡️Russian ballistic missiles have struck the centre of Zaporizhzhia, hitting a residential neighbourhood and triggering a major fire.
Initial reports indicate at least six people have been injured, though officials warn the casualty figure is likely to rise as emergency services continue their response.
Russia continues to target civilian areas far from the front line and has increased its terror activities as it struggles to gain any momentum on the battlefield.
