So, I came back on twitter to get angry about voting. I got COVID Sunday, Iso till Sunday. The AEC only allows postal votes, however postal votes MUST BE WITNESSED by 6pm on Saturday.

AEC is essentially asking me to break isolation and have my postal vote witnessed, brilliant.

My little company is two years old today! I had a record month in July, and I’m managing this thing on top of working full time. I’m at the point where i think i can afford a casual employee, but, also, that is stressful to let go of it. It’s my baby!

So now I'm the Cyber Protective Services Manager for a Bank as part of the cyber defence centre. Next year I will have a team of 4 supporting me. This year is... learning what my job is and setting up the function.

I’m getting closer to turning 40. My plan was never to work in IT until I retired, and my family history lends itself to a general life expectancy of 60s ish.

Oh, and health stuff, I’m now a Cyborg. My diabetes has been very poorly controlled for the last year. So I decided to use a continuous glucose monitor to help give me real time feedback - the only one I could get was a Freestyle Libre. I attached it for the first time yesterday.

My dad has advanced vascular dementia and is in a home, we sold the family property (being put into care for dementia is a very expensive activity). I’m currently looking for an apartment to buy with some of my share of the money from the sale.
