powerful words from Jason Kenney here: "I ask people as they're considering voting, put their minds forward to November 11th [and] the sacrifices of Albertans who lie below gravestones with the maple leaf on them. We do not have the right to rupture what they built and what they sacrificed for."
Naheed Nenshi: "What we've learned knocking on nearly half a million doors in Alberta this summer is the premier's right, Albertans are really angry. But they're not angry at Mark Carney. They're not angry at Ottawa. They're angry at the premier."
Alberta separation would put our jobs, investment, and economic future at risk. Calgary has the highest employment rate of any major Canadian city, and unemployment is down to 6.3%. Even with tariffs and trade uncertainty, we're holding our own. We need more jobs & investment, not separation chaos.
Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation is calling out Smith’s claims she had no idea separatists were meeting with the US State Department…
While pointing out they raised the alarm on this months ago.
With receipts.

Uh...
Hey Devon?
You might want to check in on your mayor....
Cause he's out on facebook spreading BS conspiracy theories about immigration, pipelines being built, carbon neutral trees and more.
Only thing missing here is 5G.
Got MAID tho...

Truly the dumbest timeline. Imagine trying to frame Olivia Chow who has spent decades visibly cycling across this city in all weather as an aloof limo rider just because Bradford brought a camera onto the TTC for a photo op.
Mayor of Calgary: "A very small minority of folks who are so deranged on this topic, they assume that Justin Trudeau is around. They'll blame him for everything from why we lose our socks in the dryer to why we sell hotdog buns in packages of 12 but we sell hotdogs in packages of 8. It's absolutely ridiculous."
Nine days before the referendum, Danielle Smith will be sharing a stage with two known separatists and someone who calls Indigenous deaths in residential schools a hoax. When someone shows you who they really are, believe them.
Oh.
"A Globe and Mail investigation has found that Republican political operatives were on the ground in Alberta this year to assist the separatist campaign in its bid to leave Canada, while harbouring their own aspirations for the province to secede.
The Globe also found that when Alberta separatist leaders went to Washington to meet with the U.S. State Department, they offered up key assets from the province’s resource portfolio, including access to fresh water and royalties on crude oil, in exchange for help transitioning to independence."

A Michigan delegation travelled to Calgary to sell separatists on software developed for Republicans to get out the vote – and how it could be used to wrench Alberta from Confederation.
For David Parker, an organizer for Alberta separation, the software was the path to victory – one that ultimately resulted in a massive privacy breach involving the sensitive personal data of nearly three million Albertans.
But Parker’s embrace of the Michigan delegation is evidence of a pattern: separatist factions in Alberta eager to engage the U.S. in their plans for secession, and American actors willing to assist, either privately or openly.
Through interviews with The Globe on both sides of the border, people involved in politics, the corporate sector and Alberta’s pursuit of separatism have described persistent efforts by figures in the U.S. administration and conservative political establishment to support groups seeking American expansionism and independence for Alberta.

Just so everyone knows. David Parker is not a political party and was in possession of an illegally obtained voters list containing the personal information of almost 3 million Albertans.
He owes $120,000 in fines for previous infractions.
We’ve always known, but now it’s confirmed, that Danielle Smith’s separatist friends, including a sitting UCP president, have been conspiring to hand over Alberta’s land, oil and water to Donald Trump.
Yet she refuses to kick them out of her party and instead changes the laws to give them everything they want.
Albertans deserve so much better than this weak leadership that hurts us all.

@gavindew Saddend, but not surprised by this post. People who lack empathy should not be put into places of power.
People of BC - please reject the conservatives! Look to us in Alberta at what a horrible mistake we've made.
Jason, you’re right. At some point, we need to stop pretending this is harmless anger at Ottawa.
When Alberta separatism keeps putting antisemitism, racism and homophobia in the window, we need to take their word for it.
And conservatives need to stop making excuses for it.
