@chude__ And we should be humble enough to say the truth and recognize that Christianity at its real core, re-discovered by those who broke away from government control and began to study the truth for themselves was what began the move away from slave trade.

@chude__ The truth to be admitted is an entire generation benefitted from slavery! Christian, royals, Muslims, traditionalists all alike!!!! Until a fraction of people who happened to be Christians began to push against it! It’s easier to only narrow down to the group we dislike!

@chude__ For control they limited the access of these people to the Bible! How is that different from our country today? Does the corruption of many Nigerian leaders make Nigeria and Nigerians a fundamentally evil people?

@chude__ Christianity did not create slavery! A group of corrupt leaders saw a religion that was becoming rapidly accepted and respected, hijacked it, put their own stooges in charge and ordained them bishops so they could control the people!

@chude__ But trying to minimize and downplay on the sacrifices of a specific group of Christians who were able to read their bibles especially after translations became available to common Christians and call out the hypocrisy of those at their top leadership is delusional!

@chude__ An entire generation of people should be held accountable… Whether black or white and from whatever religion for the role they played in accepting the slavery of fellow humans because it suited their selfish agenda!
