We are currently in attendance at a fire in Church Road, Churchdown. The fire is causing a lot of smoke in the area and we advise people in the area to keep windows and doors closed while we respond.
As the weather gets warmer, weβre reminding everyone to Be Water Aware. Many drowning incidents happen after slips or falls, not planned swims. Stay back from the edge, avoid alcohol near water, and know what to do in an emergency.

Some counterfeit plugs look convincing but can seriously increase the risk of fire. Our Trading Standards team have shared some handy tips below π
β οΈ Counterfeit plugs pose serious safety issues. β οΈ
Know the signs of a fake:
- insulated earth (top) pin
- marked with a 'CE' mark (the CE mark does not apply for plugs)
- pins of different lengths to normal
- difficulty pushing plug into socket
