Once upon a time, a guy who was constantly complaining about everything met a wise old man. He was venting about how he was broke, how life made no sense, and how money was the only thing that mattered to him. "Just give me cash, I don’t care about anything else!" he said.

The wise man smiled and said, "I’ll give you $1 million right now, on one condition. Do we have a deal?"

The guy's eyes lit up. "Of course! I'll do anything for a million dollars!"

"Great," the wise man replied. "The condition is that you won’t wake up tomorrow. You die."

The guy stared at him, shocked. "Wait, what? No way, I can't accept that."

"Okay," the wise man countered, "how about $2 million, but I take your eyes?"

Once again, the guy immediately refused.

The wise man smiled gently and said, "See? You wake up every single day with millions of dollars' worth of blessings, you just aren't realizing it."

The Moral of the Story; We are constantly surrounded by incredible gifts—our health, our sight, another day to live; but we get so caught up focusing on what we don't have that we forget to appreciate what we do.
