As we wrap up Deaf Awareness Month, we had the opportunity to sit down with Maxwell and Shanice, two members of the Deaf community, to hear their perspectives on what this month means to them and why creating awareness matters.
I would do this . I had two amazing primary teachers. I wish we would reconnect once again. Teachers who make a difference deserve amazing things in this world.
Skinny women and girls get body shamed, fat women and girls get body shamed. Fat people face structural issues that skinny people don't have to deal with. It is really that simple😂.
Girls that have grown up skinny would like to disagree! There was bullying especially in school. Akuna easy with women. Too skinny? Kwani hukuli. Too fat? Unakula sana. Dead this argument right away please.
I need to eat pasta in Italy, croissants in Paris, sushi in Japan, tacos in Mexico, kimchi in South Korea, curry in India, pho in Vietnam, oxtail in Jamaica, fondue in Switzerland & fish and chips in the UK. That’s when I’ll know I’ve made it 😭
Today I had my rounds at the male maximum security unit in Mathari, bwana you meet guys who’ve allegedly raped as young as 3 year old babies, others have murdered their parents and you’re left to make a decision whether they’re mentally ill or not. Almost all of them say they’re innocent, that begs the question of how deeply we’re invested into the psychological assessment of crime enough to make correctly just decisions. Psychiatry is a very tough field in my opinion psychiatrists should be among the highest paid doctors.
Very confusing!
Some girls are so petite that you genuinely cannot guess their age correctly. You see the small body, fine face and youthful appearance and immediately assume they’re younger than you.
A friend of mine collected a girl’s number before asking her age, only to discover that she was 34. He was shocked because she looked much younger. So before you approach that petite babe, ask first. She might be older than you.
