@davidzmorris@danwaterfield This is actually becoming a bit more common now. I know departments have seen a rise in applicants with 2 masters. I’ve said to other lecturers before that I don’t know if I’d have been accepted onto the PhD if I applied now because of how many have 2 MSc
100%. Other examples of the escalation of “minor” non-contact sexual offences:
Wayne Couzens flashed someone before raping and killing Sarah Everard.
Pawel Relowicz sexual burglaries and indecent exposure before he raped and murdered Libby Squire.
It was the offence of upskirting that resulted in the discovery of Dominique Pélicot’s horrific crimes.
This is why all ‘minor’ sex crimes (flashing, peeping toms, revenge porn, voyeurism, etc) should be investigated seriously, quickly, and robustly.
No sex crimes are minor.
